Lando Will Be In The Next Film

Did anyone notice Lando Calrissian’s absence from the new film The Force Awakens? He didn’t die in episode 6 did he? And he definitely didn’t die in real life. We fully expect Lando to come back in episode 8 to play a major role, especially now that Han Solo is gone. After all, who better than Billy Dee Williams to replace the now deceased Han Solo, than his favorite rogue in the galaxy.

Revealing Ren’s Knights

What are these “knights” we’re talking about? Our best bet is that they are a merging of Sith Lords (akin to the Jedi counsel in the prequels) that will serve to strengthen the dark side, especially as Luke Skywalker is set to make a come back, bringing back the force in well, full force.

The Big Snoke Reveal

Supreme leader Snoke, while disappointing to some, is still a huge mystery. What’s his origin? Why was there no mention of him in the originals? How powerful is he? Well as it turns out good old George Lucas was keeping him a secret. The only nugget of info on who this menacing character is is that he’s a former Imperial Starfleet admiral, who was very invested in the late emperor Palpatine’s new order for quite some time.

Episode 8’s Training Montage

This should come as no big surprise, but at the end of episode 7 Rey finds Luke Skywalker. So just like in the Empire Strikes Back when Luke goes and learns to become a Jedi, expect a whole lot of training scenes involving Rey and Jedi master Luke.

Kylo Ren Dies

We’re expecting another battle between Rey and Ren. But after Rey gets her training, it looks like this could spell the end for Ren, the Sith wanna-be. She came close to beating him with no formal training at all. The next time they meet, we’re expecting her to destroy him.

Rey’s Parents Revealed

Episode 7 hinted all too much at Rey’s waiting for someone to come back for her. This person is obviously related to Rey, and in episode 8, she’ll get to meet this long lost father, mother, or, just like the “I am your father” scene – it’ll be an “I am your brother” one. Who knows, maybe it’s Ren?

Luke’s Exile

Luke, feeling responsible for the turning of Ben Solo into Kylo Ren, headed into exile. In episode 8, will get a better understanding of what he’s been up to, and what his motivations are. Don’t be surprised however, how reluctant he is to join forces with the resistance, or even Rey who has come for her training.

Luke Skywalker Dies

Yoda managed to survive the Jedi purge so that he could teach the last remaining Jedi, Luke, the ways of the force. Since there’s been a lot of mimicking in the storyline of the new films with the old, it’s quite possible that once Luke has trained Rey, he’ll pass on. For what reason we don’t know. But it’s likely it’ll be more in how Ben Kenobi died, rather than of natural causes like Yoda did.

The Fate Of Rey

The entire Star Wars trilogy has been showing, thus far, how the galaxy has been out of balance, with the dark side reining supreme dominance. Will Rey be the one to bring the galaxy back in balance, or just put a dent in its plans like Luke did at the end of episode 6? Either way, expect some serious twists and turns that will only be resolved by episode 9.
